Christmas is getting close. This means a number of things, one of which being that it is time for the Children's House Angel Tree. So, for our students and local alumni: As we've done for several years now, Christ on Campus is working with Children's House here in Fayetteville to provide gifts for the kids there.
What is Children's House?
"Children’s House is a year-round therapeutic child development and crisis intervention center that serves children 18 months through five years of age who have suffered from physical, sexual and emotional abuse and life threatening neglect." (www.childrenshousenwa.org)
I want to encourge you to help provide gifts for these kids by taking a child from the tree. For each child there is a list of clothes sizes the child wears, as well as a few toys they have asked for. You are not expected to provide everything listed for the child, or to provide the specific toy(s) requested (ie, you can get them something that is not on the list), but we do ask that you spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $35 for the child. If you'd like, you and a friend can work together to provide the gifts.
We will be delivering the gifts to Children’s House at 10:30am on Dead Day, December 10th. So if you want to be a part of the Angel tree, please get a child soon. You can stop by the Rockhouse and get an envelope off the tree, or you can email/facebook me and I can send you a child's information.

Sorry we're past due for an update, here's some stuff that is going on in the 'near' future: Weekend Mission Trip to Dallas, TX -- November 7-9
We'll be working with Mission Arlington doing a variety of things both at their mission as well as helping them with their Sunday morning outreach to local communities. Annual Thanksgiving Banquet -- November 18 -- 5:30-7:30pm
Open to all students, held at the Rockhouse. Bring canned food for donation to Seven Hills and local food pantries, or just come enjoy some home-cookin'. National Missionary Convention in Tulsa, OK -- November 21-22
We'll head over Friday and spend the day at the convention on Saturday before heading back to Fayetteville
Christmas for Nasma
We're collecting money to send to provide a Christmas gift to our adopted child, Nasma. You can give at the Rockhouse between now and October 31st.
Winter clothing for Seven Hills
We are also collecting gloves, hats, scarfs, etc. to give to Seven Hills for those who need all the help they can to stay warm this winter. You can bring donations to Rockhouse through the end of the semester.
